ADVERSE96 are hardcore punk band from Liege/Brussels – Belgium. They already released two EPs but this is their first full length album. This record contains ten songs. The music of ADVERSE96 can be described as melodic hardcore punk with lots of post hardcore influences thrown in the music structures, they reminded me a lot of Croatian band called Dead Dog Summer with their catchy melodies, emotional vocals and personal lyrics to which I think most of us can relate to when reading them while listening to the record. Music is straightforward punk rock with tempo changes, energetic singing by the singer whose a bit rough yet melodic voice fits perfectly to the songs from this album. My personal favorites on this album are ‘Folded Paper’, ‘DeadAngles’, ‘December’ to name just a few, but whole album as a whole is one superb piece of work. So, if you like melodic hardcore in a way which was played in early 2000s, with lots of emotion and melody, but also energy, check out this phenomenal record.

The release coincides with a period of heightened threats to abortion rights in the United States and around the world. BCBC is leveraging their platform to raise awareness and advocate for universal abortion access. Linh, the band’s bassist, shared her thoughts on the song below:
Abortion is a crucial aspect of healthcare, and everyone should have the right to access it without facing any form of social judgment. Our ongoing effort is to remove legal restrictions and integrate them as a routine medical procedure. It’s a private healthcare matter, plain and simple.
