| Heavily influenced by the classic NWOBHM bands, “Wings of Chrome” soars in the world of aviation. “It’s a story about a band that has a difficult flight to their next gig,” says Kristian Herkman, the vocalist.In all its over-the-top drama, “Wings of Chrome” is pure heavy metal at its best. “In the spoken parts we combined your everyday airline jargon with text from a Japanese kamikaze guide,” says Ari Väntänen, the band’s rhythm guitar player. “We contacted our heavy metal heroes from Spinal Tap and asked them to feat, but they couldn’t do it. Now we know why; there’s a sequel on the way! That’s even better!” |
The band’s second full-length effort Trust Betrayal, out via Wormholedeath, takes their old-school metal game to a whole new level.
