German gothic metal legends Crematory released their new record, if I am not mistaken it is already band’s seventeenth full length opus. What do we get here? 12 songs, one being awesome Type O Negative cover of My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend. The music Crematory plays is gothic metal with enough rawness and harsh vocals, courtesy of Felix Stass, who also passes from growls to clean vocals with such easiness, mixed with melodic keyboard passages of Katrin Jullich and some catchy guitar melodies and hooks. Some of the lyrics are in English, some are in German, personally, I like those in German a bit more. My favorites on this record are The Future Is A Lonely Place, Das Letzte Ticket, Welt Aus Glas and also My Own Private God. This is a good album if you like your gothic more metal and also gothic haha.
