Finnish Rocking Corpses is a putrid mix of rock, death metal, zombies, other horror themes and some really black humour. The band is set to release their second studio album Death Blues on July 2nd 2021 via Inverse Records. A new single and video War For Doom is released today.

The band comments:
“War for Doom was created in dawn of our studio sessions. We were listening to our demos and thinking that the album may be lacking one faster song so we geared up and this tune was ready before sundown. Vocals were finished by Laze during sessions and while the song may be a bit out of the general line of the album, it successfully finishes the loose story of the album. War for Doom was considered as a single before but we ended up with the 3 earlier singles (Buried, Another Day in Casket, Body) but when the deal with Inverse Records was made, the first suggestion for a single was this song. Well, here it is!”

(news) Power melodic metallers On Atlas´ Shoulders-released new single from the upcoming album!

Ruins” is the 3rd single from the upcoming 2nd album “Hyperion“. Artwork and music video were created by Marius Bönisch, the lead singer of the band.

This Traditional/Power Metal epic features catchy melodies and backing vocals, thought-provoking lyrics, two guitar solos and eruptive double bass thrusts.

ON ATLAS’ SHOULDERS comments:
“‘Ruins‘ deals with the topic of death from multiple angles, emphasizing that it serves a fundamental purpose for all of existence. The listener is motivated to face his biggest fears and live life to the fullest, because when confronted with death, the final judge, we mustn’t have any regrets. Finally, death also serves as a unifier by being everyone’s inevitable end, regardless of for example race or religion.”

You love it completely individual, contagiously fervent, thoroughly inspired as well as with the greatest possible devotion?
Then get prepared for 100 % genuine and overwhelming listenable EPIC HEAVY METAL of the highest order!

ON ATLAS’ SHOULDERS stands for uplifting, memorable melodies, an impressive vocal range and moving backing vocals combined with harmonized guitar riffs! Powerful solos and thundering double bass characterize the enormously beefy sound of these quickly convincing German hopefuls.

The outstanding gifted formation was founded in late 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany, by highly soulful vocalist Marius Bönisch and guitarist Ben Chadwick – completed by axeman Björn Anders and drummer Leonard Pick.

(review) SAXON – Inspirations

front

UK´s legendary NWOBHM veterans Saxon released an album with cover versions of the songs by musicians and bands which had an influence and served as inspirations for their long year running stint as UK´s premier heavy metal band besides Iron Maiden. This one contains 11 songs of more or less known songs and I somehow like The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Motorhead covers the best. I am usually not eager of bands delivering cover albums because they often mean only record contract fillers with labels but this is an okay album and I have nothing but respect for Saxon being in the scene for so long throughout the years and all ups and downs of their career and the scene itself. Biff´s specific voice is really fun to hear in these songs and it is an interesting choice of covers.
