Finnish modern melodic metal quintet Weightless World is under a month away on releasing their second album called Sleepwalker. Five energetic, heavy-hitting and melody-packed singles have already been released from the album and now it’s time for the last one before the album release. The band states that ‘Eyes Of A God’ is a triumph of melodies and heaviness combined into this massive sounding experience that has something special.

‘’When talking about demos I’ve never been more sure and convinced of the potential of one as Eyes Of A God. The first version however was more melancholic and slower and it was in desperate need of an energy spike to become from something good into something special. So I took the song and by my vision started to arrange the base rhythm into more upbeat and composed a couple new parts to make it richer and more interesting. The result is an epic and a fascinating hybrid of ‘energetic heaviness’ and is still giving me chills when listening to it’’, describes guitarist Valtteri Viinikka.

The vocalist of the band Perttu Korhonen tells that he usually avoids writing about topics considering faith and religious themes but couldn’t pass the sensation the song caused for him. ‘The song this big just about screamed to use the most known and most powerful metaphor that mankind knows. ‘Eyes Of A God’, ain’t it the one.’

Directed and shot by Tino-Viljami Vanhala, the music video of the song was shot at Kotka and at a national park of Repovesi. A magnificent shots from Finnish nature and a fierce commitment from everyone, especially from Korhonen for traveling the whole shooting day with bare feet, showcases the struggle of a person that keeps carrying their burden, unconsciously or consciously, alone.

’The burden may be this assorted load consisting of many small things that together feel much heavier and are harder to keep carrying with you. And what’s even more strange is the fact that letting go of that stuff can be surprisingly hard. Including from those things that at the end would be pretty minor stuff if one could only look at them objectively’’, tells Viinikka.

KILLSORROW was created in 2008 in Krakow by guitarist Michał Sokół. The band’s roster changed multiple times before finally stabilizing in 2015. Each member of the band is an experienced musician who has played hundreds of concerts and supported world-class bands such as Vader, Decapitated, Electric Light Orchestra, Focus, Paradise Lost, Hate, Hunter, Kat, Acid Drinkers, TSA.

So far, band released two albums “Little Something For You To Choke” and self-titled album “Killsorrow” (2019). Later band shared with fans digital single “Atom Heart” (2021). The band has performed tens live shows in major Polish cities in prestigious venues. In 2022, the band began working on their third longplay.

Polish post-apocalyptic metal band KILLSORROW has set the international release date for their highly anticipated third full-length album, entitled “Wasteland Chronicles“. The songs were recorded at Heinrich House Studio and Studio Centrum. All was mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström at Fredman Studio (In Flames, Arch Enemy, Sabaton, Dimmu Borgir, Septicflesh) in Goteborg. Cover artwork was done by duo Zbigniew Józefczyk and Michał “Xaay” Loranc (Evangelist, Kamelot, Konkhra).

November 3, 2023 band published video to the first of the three promotional songs and released full album on CD. “Wasteland Chronicles” will be released digitally in the first quarter of 2024. On the new album the band presents a new musical face, they play mixture melody and aggressive of Trivium and In Flames with catchy Iron Maiden riffs and progression of Evergrey and Kamelot.

Distorted Force is a band with a very weird approach to composition.
Being in the substance of progressive metal implies long length tracks,
unstable structure, and a lot of changes in a song’s general atmosphere.
In recent years the band moves musically in the heavy/progressive area.
They started in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2008.
In the beginning of 2010 they started their discography with a
homonymous EP. A year later they released “A Dead Man’s Dream” showing obvious influences from Porcupine Tree and Anathema. The line-up changed and “Depersonalization” was out in 2012 with much heavier sound, that keeps up to date. In January 2013, “Fields in Desolation” was released, characterized by progressive metal elements which were about to increase over the next years. In December of 2014, the album “Taken by Force” paved same progressive metal course that was carved in their previous
albums. The next full-length album “Curves of Sidereal Cosmos” was the
band’s first concept album and was released in May 2018, followed by
flattering reviews from the music press all over the world.
Distorted Force have been performing live shows all over Greece and Europe since 2008.
On June 10th, 2023, the band released their seventh album “Angelic Bloodshed” via French Soman Records. This is considered to be the heaviest so far.
