(band tjedna) Majkan i njihova vizija streetpunka

Evo nakon dugo vremena jednog posta na matičnom jeziku. Uveli smo novitet u zine koji se zove bend tjedna.  U ovoj prvoj epizodi predstavljamo punkrock/streetpunk bend iz Apatina, Srbija, a to je Majkan.

Majkan je punk rock bend iz Apatina, oformljen u siječnju 2019.g. Bend je u početku svirao obrade domaćih punk grupa, ali ubrzo počinju raditi i autorske pjesme. Prvi single za pjesmu  Ajmo u kafanu  su objavili u studenom 2019g.  Pjesma u kratkom vremenu postala hit i omogućila bendu promociju i brojne nastupe. Početkom 2020.g Majkan izdaje drugi single za pjesmu Dobro veče, kojim stiču još više publike. Poslije pauze izazvane pandemijom, Majkan nastavlja sa radom i krajem svibnja je izašao treći single Kao pre. Pjesma dobija dobre kritike i bend u lipnju održava nekoliko uspješnih koncerata. Krajem lipnja, objavljen je četvrti single za pjesmu  Laku Noć”. Spot sadrži kadrove sa nastupa iz Apatina, Novog Sada i Stapara. Sve  pjesme su snimljene pod producentskom palicom Nemanje Kalinića. 

Bend trenutno radi na novim pjesmama i uskoro se očekuje još jedan singl. 

Majkan čine iskusni muzičari koji su svirali u mnogim metal, punk i rock bendovima. Bend svoju pravu snagu pokazuje na koncertima gdje dolazi do velike razmene  energije između njih i publike. Članovi benda su : Igor Bukvić – bubnjevi , Nemanja Kalinić – gitara i prateći vokali, Rade Balać – vokal i bas.

Mission Two Entertainment is thrilled to announce the signing of BRAVE THE COLD to its already powerful lineage of artists. Fronted by longtime Napalm Death member Mitch Harris and Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren, BRAVE THE COLD is a two-piece formed in 2018 as the two metal conglomerates focus their energies into a new level of aggression. The culmination is Scarcity, an eleven track collection of ferociousness breathing much-needed life into the heavy metal scene of 2020. Produced by the legendary Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly), Scarcity is set for release on October 2nd, 2020.

Harris adds, “Mission Two Entertainment progressed to their next phase in the music world and they have been the most inspiring team I’ve ever worked with! They truly believe with heart and soul to push this to the highest level possible as we forge ahead in our forever altered civilization.”

BRAVE THE COLD’s glitchy, byzantine death metal doesn’t just shift gears – it whips, stutters and jumps sideways into heavyweight dimensions. The entire Scarcity theme is a well-researched, scenic debate combining Dystopian views ranging from Anti-Elite, Anti-Media, Anti-Division, Anti-Oppression, End of Days Philosophies, Post-Apocalyptic Poetry, Mind Control, Economic Instability, Educational Infiltration and Global Political Deceit that compromises our spirituality of ONE COLLECTIVE VOICE. This is a global agenda that was a long time coming. It’s a reflection on how government can create urgency out of necessity.

Big loser release ruby red as charity single for the austin justice coalition!

Austin’s own Big Loser choose not to stand on the sidelines. After the tragic death of George Floyd and the on going displays of police brutality, Big Loser wanted to give back to their community. The band penned a song titled “Ruby Red” and all money from the single will be donated to The Austin Justice Coalition. “In the wake of George Floyd’s death, it became apparent in vividly horrible colors the amount of systemic racism that has been and still is in place in America. Countless black stories were shared via social media along with raw footage of police brutality. Just recently a video was released of an unarmed black man, Jacob Blake, being shot in the back by police in front of his kids. It’s still happening. It’s difficult to not be emotionally affected by all of it, and that’s why we wrote “ruby red,” in hopes to release it and raise some money for a righteous cause. The Austin Justice Coalition is a racial justice group that educates and builds community power for people of color who live in Austin, Texas, that need support, community, and liberation during a time of systemic injustice in America. The issues in America run deep and wide, but we chose to team up with AJC because we believe the fight for justice starts locally and they’re a great organization helping those in need right now.” – Chase D. Spruiell. The release of “Ruby Red” is timed perfectly with the September edition of Bandcamp Friday – the monthly event where Bandcamp waives their revenue share on all sales. Big Loser released Love You, Barely Breathing on Black Numbers earlier this year.

Big Loser is an American rock band formed by frontman Chase D. Spruiell. Pairing hard hitting lyrics with glistening song arrangements the band has quickly earned a seal of approval in the underground scene. Love You, Barely Living is their Black Numbers debut and everything about it is big. Haunting guitars, roomy drums, and epic sing-along’s set the tone for Chase and the rest of Big Loser to showcase their songwriting skills. Love You, Barely Living plays like a coming of age film where no matter how many times the protagonist falls you just know they are going to be alright in the end.
