Atmospheric Black Metallers TERREUR NOCTURNE Released New Album “Solitude Post-Mortem”!

The French atmospheric black metal band TERREUR NOCTURNE released its new album “Solitude Post-Mortem” on October 13th via Music-Records. Don’t lose it if you are a fan of Seth, Dissection, Glaciation, Grima, and Afsky!

Terreur Nocturne‘s first full-length invites the listener to plunge into the nightmarish universe of the oniric realm through the prism of Solitude: each song explores the theme of Solitude by drawing freely on personal stories and experienced discomforts more or less universal, and real nightmares experienced by the singer, suffering from parasomnias. Whether it is the Forgetting of the deceased, Social Isolation, Depression, or even the refusal to be part of a world that we loathe, this album attempts to portray through its sometimes lively melodies and sometimes melancholy an overview of Solitude. Between deep darkness and occasional glimmers of hope, the 9 songs of “Solitude Post-Mortem” offer a journey between death and resilience, stretched between nightmare and hope.

Technical blackened death metal band Ulterror from Finland releases the first single from the upcoming debut album

Cover artwork for the album “Transcendent Origins” to be released on March 29 2024

2019 founded Finnish technical blackened death metal band Ulterror has released the first single from their upcoming debut album.

The Greater Sublimations of Cosmic Panic tells a story of a spacecraft’s crewmember who gets left behind in space. The Eye of the Necrocosm is an entity that tirelessly guards the liminal space between universes and monitors its territory in case of intruders. According to Lovecraftian tradition, anyone that meets the gaze of the Eye shall succumb to sheer unreasonable terror. The protagonist of the song faces his final moment, being left behind and abandoned amidst the aether, while this ageless being breaks his mind once and for all.

This track is an apt representation of the album’s soundscape as a whole. The diverse soundscape combines various layers of slamming riffs and bellowing vocals which help create an interesting blend of captivating and aggressive metal music.

Tomy backgrounds the song:

“The song came about on a august evening on my terrace when i felt the changing of season in the air from summer to fall. You can sense it somehow. It is about ending of a strained relationship, knowing what is about to come is inevitable and just knowing it the same way you know the season will come to an end.”

The single is including guest appearances by Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Sons of Apollo, Alice Cooper, Planet X, Black Country Communion, Yngwie Malmsteen) and Christian Määttä (Arc Spectra).

“Production-wise ,after a couple fortunate events, i was able to get Mr. Derek Sherinian to handle all the keyboard duties on “This Summer”. He really played a tremendous role on how the song came to be, not forgetting to mention Christian Määttä , who played drums on the song! If you listen closely, you can hear some backing vocals provided by my daughter Emma, who is showing signs of becoming an artist in the future!” Tomy Laisto continues.
