Niki Lauda Firefighters are coming from Berlin, Germany and this is their demo, offering four songs. The music on this demo is just what I needed this morning, meaning fast and epic hardcore punk with angry screaming vocals and delivering punches in your gut with songs like ‘TikToks From The Trenches’ or ‘One Pint, One Piss’. This is a superb demo with blistering raging fast guitars still delivering mighty melodies behind all of it, angry guy screaming his lungs out and ironic/nihilistic/black humor lyrics and they reminded me a lot of S.O.D. or M.O.D. with their mixture of thrash and hardcore punk here. I can’t wait for more. This one is just too short, how good it is.

(music news) Berlin skate punks release new lyric video!
Berlin skate punker’s Hit The Dirt have released a lyric video for their song “<3 Social Chlamedia”. The track appeared on their Six Pack EP that was released earlier this year via High End Denim Records.
The band had this to say about the song: “<3 Social Chlamedia is a song about how our phones, social media and the modern digital world in general has taken over our lives. From the moment we wake up until the moment we go to sleep, we are mostly addicted to this crazy digital world inside of our phones.”
(review) Mutabor – Rebel
Mutabor are from Berlin, Germany. This is their latest full length album. I must admit that I never heard about these guys prior to listening to this record. What do we have here? Here we have 13 songs of mixture consisting of ska punk rock, folk influences, some thirties, almost cabaret vibes in some songs, melody and uplifting atmosphere topped with lyrics in German language. I also forgot pop punk influenced song parts and even ballads. Sounds interesting? It was interesting, but somehow it got through me without really touching me of leaving a mark upon my heart and mind. It is okay, listenable but somehow it got boring after four of five songs, becoming too mellow and too poppy even for my broad imagination, being somehow long and I just waited to end. This album is ideal while listening to doing something else like wiping dust and cleaning your lair a bit on a Saturday early afternoon. Maybe it was just me, but this just isn´t a record that got to me.
