(review) Hordes of Wrath – Black Hordes

South America has vast underground scene and from Brazil comes Hordes of Wrath. This is a one man band which continues in raw paths of Sarcofago, Krisiun and even European influences like Marduk can be heard in this apocalyptic demo featuring four in your face Satanic songs. The music is all out fast and aggressive black death thrash attack. Old school thrash is featured mixed with blast beats in Final Solution, for me the best song on this demo. All Must Die and All Must Die are something for you to peel your ears too. Vocals are shouted more in thrash metal vein, dirty and raw, lyrics are all out attack in your face, with killing, trampling upon corpses of christians, misanthropy and anger. This energy lacked in my music list last couple of weeks, so I am happy to have found out about Hordes of Wrath. Great demo, I am eager for a full length in the future.

(review) Death Reich – The Final Plague (Non Serviam Records)

Death Reich are hailing from Sweden, being active in the scene since 2018 and this is their second e.p. opus out with Non Serviam Records.

This one contains four songs plus one Entombed cover. You guessed it, Death Reich are playing old school death metal with no holds barred blast beat aggression, growling vocals, blistering guitar solos and some d beat and subtle melody thrown in here and there only to remind they play Swedish death metal. Yet, the music of Death Reich also leans heavily into American school of death metal, Floridian masters a la Morbid Angel, Deicide come to mind immediately, also mixed with their own Swedish old school sound. Of the songs, my personal favorites are The Creator and also The Night Will Fall. Now, these guys released two e.p.-s, now it the time for full length opus and I am sure it will be a lesson in death metal.

(review) Archgoat – All Christianity Ends (Debemur Morti)

A bit older release but it doesn’t matter. Archgoat are Finnish veterans with their roots going back even to 1989. Formed by Ritual Butcherer and Lord Angelslayer, this entity deliver their vision of apocalyptic black death metal with Satanic themes and thus create a vision of fire, void, blackness and utter destruction. The music of Archgoat is bestial, not unlike Blasphemy and similar contemporary bands, there are some synth ritualistic undertones but this is darkness itself. Thundering bass and guitars blistering with hate, coupled with Lord Angelslayer’s death metal growling rather than your usual black metal screaming. There are four songs on this one, all fist in the eye of nazarene and his minions. Songs like Nightside Prayer or The Semen of Anti-Mastery are going to bring you to war eternally.
