The good people of WTF Records delivered another bunch of excellent hardcore punk records on the unsuspecting world. The Car Bomb Parade are hailing from New York area and this is their new four song e.p. Music of The Car Bomb Parade reminds me of old school hardcore days of my youth and gave me goosebumps while listening to this e.p. Pure hardcore punk fast mayhem with no holds barred, raw and at the same time firmly holding both legs in street punk roots, if I must compare the music to someone, it would be Cause For Alarm, Age of Quarrel time of Cro-Mags and similar bands. There is also some melody and catchiness in the songs like in my favorite Our Holiday which is just made for singing along live. Reggae parts of Purge Your Soul NWHC surprised me but caught me smiling with irony of the lyrics and tongue in cheek humor converting to hardcore mayhem. Trash Life is the final song, also making me want for more and can´t wait to see these guys play live one day.

Ignite released new single and video from their forthcoming album!
Orange County hardcore legends Ignite proved yet again that there is life after the departure of their long time singer Zoli Teglas. New vocalist Eli Santana is more than capable and I love how the band does not copy old times with new singer, rather staying in more faster, aggressive and hardcore side of things, at the same time retaining melody. This one is a keeper! I can´t wait to hear the new album as a whole.

(review) Devil In Me – On The Grind
Devil In Me worked their asses off to become one of the flagships of European hardcore punk scene and boy, does this new album sound great. I discovered European hardcore back in the mid nineties through controversial Lost & Found releases and bands like Ryker´s, Brightside, Right Direction, Discipline and so on were so sweet and great to me as a kid back then. They still are of course. Devil In Me are from Lisabon and this opus contains eleven songs done just in the way I like it, More street punk oriented Euro hardcore with roots firm in punk rock, yet with some moshing metallic parts here and there, also NYHC influences are unavoidable with some song structures. Vocals are awesome, bordering from angry screaming, hardcore shouter to some more melodic vocals like in fantastic Awake. In Loving Memory and Never Give In are also my personal favorites on this record, so when you read titles like these you will get the picture what these songs and this band is about. Gang backing vocals are just made for singing along while moshing and stagediving at gigs, I can only imagine how this band sounds live, hopefully I will see them and hear them play live one day soon. Until then, this is probably a candidate for top five hardcore releases this year which just started. Great one indeed!
