Italian hardcore band Total Recall are finally releasing today their first studio album entitled Always Together via the Australian label 1054 Records.

Always Together has been recorded at the SPVN Studio, under the supervision of producer Stefano “Orkid” SantiCripple Bastards, Forgotten Tomb, Hiss from the Moat -.

The record is made up of 9 tracks of condensed powerful energy ready to explode, that will make you want to headbang, scream and mosh with your friends.

Stef, guitarist, declares: “Hey folks. our debut album is officially out now and forever. We have waited almost one year and a half to share these 9 jams with all of you. We worked harder, played harder thinking of our fallen brother Massi. Thanks to Peter at 1054 Records and Rising Nemesis Records for unleashing it to the world. If you like downtuned metallic riffage, this one’s for you!

In the previous months, the album was anticipated by the release of two singles, Poison Flow and Seas Of Illusion, in rotation worldwide on radio stations and Spotify playlists.

The performance videos demonstrate how Total Recall are able to bring raw and raging energy on stage, ready to mesmerize the audience.

Always Together is a sonic wrecking ball that will leave you bloodied and beaten, yet utterly exhilarated. An uncompromising collection of chunky, metallic, machine-gunning riffs, groovy bass and the hardest of post-hardcore sensibilities. A fitting antidote to all those annoying smiley summer tunes. The Razors Edge

Total Recall was formed in March 2019 by experienced musicians with 20+ years of touring experience in the Metal Hardcore scene who worked with established producers such as Logan MaderMachine Head, Soulfly – among others throughout their career.

They decided to form this band to honour the memory of a lost friend who toured with them for 15+ years, getting back in the game with a low tuned blend of Metallic Groovy Hardcore with strong Post Hardcore influences, Total Recall went public on January 12th 2020.

Vocals are performed by Andrea “Ronda” RondaniniRise Above Dead, Crushed To Dust -, while guitars are masterfully played by Stefano “Stef” AnderloniFace Your Enemy, Die Trying, Traces Of You, K-Again – and Stefano “Bleed” BigoniRise Above Dead, Thunder Brigade -. (review) Banane Metalik – No Surrender

174583382_300122261472047_7004340000310055588_n

Banane Metalik are back with a new opus! French purveyors of gore n roll are again spreading their gore soaked mixture of hardcore punk, metal and psychobilly. New line-up has been around for a while and it seems that the chemistry in the band is perfect judging by the musical approach. New e.p. contains hits like No Surrender being up tempo straight forward anthem of horror with perfect matching video from Hellfest. My personal favorite is Rock Out, a hymn dedicated as tribute to Motorhead and legend Lemmy. Dance is a track somehow most reminding of old school Banane Metalik when they leaned more in horrorbilly than metal and punk. Singer Ced sounds superb and rest of the band is strong and convincing. I can only imagine how this new stuff sounds live, I saw Banane Metalik only once, in Ljubljana back in 2013 when they played their re-union show. Let There Be Rock is a nice horror tribute to AC/DC hehe. Go get this one and support the horror scene.

(review) .upset/8082 – Passing the Torch (Geenger Records)

Here is the split release by Croatian hardcore punk band .upset and 8082 from Austria. .upset are in no way strangers to the pages of this zine, because Zabok´s finest were already featured here and this time they offer two songs of street punk influenced hardcore with lyrics about friendship, betrayal, disappointment and hope. Thank You is my personal favorite and Fuck You is a bit faster yet also total hardcore anthem. 8082 offer two songs on their side of this e.p. They also play old school hardcore mixed with couple of new school parts in song structures, I can hear a mixture of eighties and nineties influenced hardcore in their songs. Lyrics are about surviving in this world and literally catching breath and also about with Day by Day being my personal favorite besides Catch a Breath. Great release by two great bands.
