(review) Eva Ras-…kada odlaziš/When you leave

a0119692829_10

Remember Eva Ras? I recently reviewed the first part of the double concept e.p. for this zine and here is the second half, second part of the double e.p.

This second half carries another 8 short outbursts of anger, despair, emotions and everything this kind of music should carry with. The music is a mixture of powerviolence, hardcore punk and screamo atmosphere in some song parts. This is all very short, lyrics being a mixture of political and personal, some in Serbian langauge, some in English with screeching vocals, nervous guitars and gutwrenching blasting speed drums in most songs, all being under ten minutes duration for the whole e.p. This one is even better than the first one. The song that I somehow love the most is What is nothing?. Nice one. Support your scene.

(review) Arterials-The Spaces In Between

cover

I must admit I have never listened to Arterials prior to this record. Their new record is out with Gunner Records. Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, these guys play nice hardcore punk mixed with some melodic mid tempo punk thrown here and there, but they do this great. I especially like the vocals being rough voice yet singing when needed and creating total goosebumps with fine melodies. I love fast more straightforward songs like Jaded & Hated but also more mid tempo emotional Pump The Brakes or Friendship Is A Four Letter Word. The lyrics are more personal, but I think everyone can relate to them nicely. This is nothing new or special, but punkrock with balls and conviction and I love this album.

(review) Tired and Trustless-Tired And Trustless

a2259789559_10

Tired and Trustless is basically two men internet project with instrumentals from Tom Schlatter (Hundreds of AU, You and I, The Assistant) and vocals/noise from Nathaniel Murray (Karloff, No Funeral Records). These 7 short songs offer a mixture of hardcore punk, noise core, screamo and even powerviolence frenzy with screaming vocals, fast drumming, some midtempo or slower sludgy parts, nervous guitars, atmosphere for the end of the world killed by virus germs hehe. The lyrics are short and personal, more of a haiku style with almost every song lasting under a minute, time quickly passes with this short but sweet outburst of chaos, rage and despair.
