Italian LATTE+ are in no way strangers to the pages of this webzine. We already reviewed their release on these pages so we knew what to expect with new album, and I might say we were not disappointed. This new album contains 12 songs of melodic Ramonescore mixed with pop punk and melodic punk rock influences, energetic, uplifting and inspiring, just what is needed for these rainy grey days. LATTE+ are one of the oldest active Italian punk rock bands and have been in the scene for a while, but their songs sound fresh and exciting. Short anthems like ‘Laura Is A Punk Rocker’, ‘Such A Mess’, ‘Creepy Basement’ or ‘My Heart Belongs To The Ramones-Unbearable’ are sure to win you over with their contagious melodies, strong melodic vocals that are not snotty or poppy, but true punk rock voice and great backing vocal harmonies. Ramones legacy lives on! If I must compare this band to some other it would be Teenage Bottlerocket sounding awesome and I recommend you check out these guys!

(review) Damn City – ‘Get Up’ (Too Loud Records)
Damn City are hailing from Bologna area, Italy and this is their new three song EP. This EP is dedicated to Bob Marley with title song being cover of Marley’s powerful anthem and done in crossover, mixture of rap and hardcore way. This new rendition made this old school fight anthem more powerful and street vibe smart, mixing reggae with hardcore and rap. ‘Skorpio Haze’ is more of a rap song with more electronica in the song structure and less guitar oriented, but sounding at the same time powerful and cleverly using samples and sounding street smart and mystical at the same time. ‘Gli Occhi Della Sfinge’ is a remix sounding powerful and this little release is the choice if you are into this kind of music.
(review) Good Morning Černobyl’ – ‘No Time To Fear’
Time for another band from great and awesome Italian underground scene to grace the pages of this webzine. Good Morning Černobyl’ are from Milan/Perugia area and this is their debut album containing seven songs. The music of this band is old school punk with rawer sounding songs like ‘Lost in Ghost Party’ which is short but energetic delivering punk bomb. ‘Spike’s Poison’ is mid tempo punk rock song with strong bass melody prevailing in the song and then turning into almost indie influenced punk song. The lyrics are in English, but me personally would like more Italian punk bands singing in their native language because it is such a great language for punk songs, especially on the more melodic side of things. One of my personal favorites is ‘Welcome to the Commonwealth’ being a kind of weird piece of punk rock thrown in my way. I must mention that six of seven songs are bands’ own and there is a GG Allin cover there of ‘Bite it You Scum’ and I can also hear his influence in some of the songwriting by this band. Anyway, this is a strong punk rock debut, so have a listen and enjoy it.
