(new video)Drones Release Cinematic New Video for ‘Anchors’

London alternative rock / punk group Drones have released a new video ‘Anchors’, the fourth single from their album ‘Exiled’, which was released on Lockjaw Records earlier this year.

According to the United Nations, 1,651,661 refugees have fled their home countries and risked their lives traveling across the Mediterranean Sea to Europe since 2015. At least 14,000 have died or are missing.

These troubling figures inspired Drones to write ‘Anchors’. Their album ‘Exiled’ offers a direct commentary on the current refugee crisis, which Drones have continued in their video for ‘Anchors’.

Following the release of their sophomore record ‘Exiled’ earlier this year, in October Drones released a handful of rarer versions of album tracks: ‘Exiled B-Sides’. The new digital EP includes live versions, acoustic reworkings and an unreleased track.

Drummer, Mitchell Thomas explains: “We’ve been blown away with the response from Exiled and wanted to give a little something extra to those who have been enjoying the record. Exiled: B-Sides features an acoustic rendition of ‘Territories’, as well as live versions of ‘Rorschach’ and ‘Inferno’ that we recorded at the SAE Institute in Amsterdam while on tour last April.”

‘Exiled B-Sides’ is available to download with every physical copy of ‘Exiled’ purchased via the Drones webstore: https://drones.tmstor.es/.

(new video-melodic hardcore)Fair Do’s Release Deadly New Video For ‘Candleman’

At Halloween, Northern shredders Fair Do’s released the video for Candleman, the third single from their debut album Leopards.

This tongue-in-cheek burst of hardcore shows a day in the life of bassist, Josh Sumner: living, drinking and dancing with Death and his corpse-paint covered friends.

The video was created on a grand budget of £50 and stars The Grim Reaper. It also features cameos from Manchester Punk Festival’s Ian ‘Tree’ Robinson and his loveable canine companion DCI Burnside (who you can follow on Instagram @dci_burnside).

Candleman is the shortest and most brutal track on the album, however it’s become a runaway success with fans of fast punk. Leopards was released via Lockjaw Records in July and is available to purchase on pink/yellow splatter vinyl, CD digipack or digital download: https://lockjawrecords.co.uk/fair-dos-leopards/

The EP includes an exclusive unheard studio track, ‘Tyranny’, which Mitchell says “… was a favourite of ours, but didn’t quite make the cut in time for the album release.”

This month Drones head to Europe to support Anti-Flag, followed by a co-headline slot on the Upset Magazine’s About To Break Tour with In Technicolour, Bitch Falcon and Haggard Cat in November.

“We’re looking forward to this tour and seeing everyone at the shows! The other bands we’re sharing the stage with on this run are some of the most exciting rising bands the UK has to offer, so we can’t wait to get stuck in with them and tear some venues apart.” Mitchell adds.

The Exiled: B-Sides is available for download with every physical copy of Exiled via the Drones webstore https://drones.tmstor.es/, from Friday 19 October 2018.
