(record review) New Found Glory-From The Screen To Your Stereo 3 (Hopeless Records)

The new album by New Found Glory is out with Hopeless Rec and I listened and reviewed it for our zine.

cover

The band has been in the scene since 1997.and they are based in Florida. This is their third cover album they did besides regular studio albums. The album contains 7 songs from your favorite movies transformed into NFG´s trademark melodic pop punk style. As it always is, some songs are better than others, so The Power Of Love, Let It Go and Accidentally In Love are stand outs above rest of the album material. I don´t usually like cover albums or cover bands, but this album is soo good.

(record review)Primetime Failure-Memory Lane(Uncle M Music)

Primetime Failure are back! And they are back with a blast! Memory Lane is the title of the new record out with Uncle M. I listened and reviewed the new record for our zine.

This band is special in my heart because they remind me and take me back to the times when I was a little dreamy kid and listening to Primetime Failure takes me back to that innocent time. Why? Because they play excellent melodic punkrock in the vein of all the 90-ies bands from that time, yet with 21st century resolution, freshness and great songwriting. The new record contains 8 songs and I just can´t decide which one is better. For me the highlights are Brad which sounds a bit like Good Riddance and I had to listen to it over and over how good it is. Also, the title song is a masterpiece in melodic punk. Bricking The Lord is also one of my favorites. The vocals are harsh but melodic and fit perfectly with higher sung backing harmonies, so I love it. The songs are total energy, yet not fast, but the record does not get boring or repetitive in any way. Awesome stuff!

(record review)URBAN OUTFIELDERS-Out Of This World(Hidden Home Rec)

Urban Outfielders are melodic/pop punk band from Idaho. I listened and reviewed their new e.p., out with Hidden Home Records.

UO out of This World Cover

Hailing from Idaho, these guys are playing great melodic punkrock with some pop punk influences. This record is an e.p. and it contains four songs. What is special about this band is, their lyrics are sports oriented hehe with a lot of fun but there are so great catchy guitar hooks and melodies, sing along anthemic choruses and awesome backing vocal harmonies that make this record really special. My favorites on this record are Where Did He Go(Tito) and also The Wizard Of Japan. But, you will have to listen all four songs and let this band in your ears, because they are worth it. I await eagerly for the full record!
