(review) All Coasted – ‘Never Ending Puppet Show’

All Coasted are from Vicenza, Italy and they play melodic punk with skate punk and hardcore parts of the songs. This is their brand new release containing five songs. Now, that is the punk rock I like and love. Fast, without much philosophy, sounding like all the bands in the nineties which I grew up with and still love. If I must compare them to someone it would be a mixture of nineties era Nofx and Teenage Bottlerocket with anthemic songs, grandiose choruses, sense of melody like only Italian bands can have and good lyrics which are personal but anyone can relate to them and that is the beauty of punk rock. My personal favorites are ‘With Blinkers’ and ‘Bird In A Cage’, but all five songs are worth your listening if you are a fan of bands such as this one.

(review) Dan Cribb & The Isolated – ‘I’ll Follow You Anywhere(PEE Records)

Dan Cribb & The Isolated started as a solo project for WA singer-songwriter Dan Cribb, former vocalist and bassist of The Decline. But, along the way it became so much more and something really beautiful. Dan was joined by Scott Connor (guitar/vocals) and Brennan Pagels (drums),. This new opus contains eleven songs which continue with way they started. That means beautiful heartfelt emotional punk rock. There is lots of melody in this one, especially in vocal lines which are so sweet and some of the songs, like for example chorus of ‘The Best of Whatever’ brought goosebumps upon my skin while listening to the album. I must admit that I enjoyed listening this album as one whole, these songs stirred up something in me which brought smile to my face and that is definitely not often the case. Songs are mainly in mid tempo punk rock, so don’t expect fast hardcore melodic skate punk frenzy with this album, but there are lots of tempo changes, pop punk sensibilities and for all that is worth, great songwriting to top it all. Some of my other personal favorites on this one are: ‘Addicted For Life’, ‘Fade Away’, ‘Full Circle’. This one is a keeper!

Pulley share video to ‘Repeat Offender’!

Skate-Punk legends Pulley have release a well received new album called ‘The Golden Life’ on SBÄM Records in 2022. After releasing videos for their singles ‘Lonely’ and ‘Golden Life’, Pulley now come along with a banger music video for the album opener, ‘Repeat Offender’.

A video that not only shows the band performing in front of a trailer that reminds us a lot of the cover artwork of ‘The Golden Life’ – it also transports the story the song tells us about constantly antagonizing.
