Taking Back August has released ‘Another Day To Live’, their latest single!

Romanian Modern Metalcore band Taking Back August has released “Another Day To Live”, their latest single!

The new song is built around corrosive, massive riffs, over which a volcanic rhythm is cleverly arranged. Alex Precup’s voice pierces your heart like a drill thanks to its dual nature: Heaven and Hell.

The atmospheric synths enhance the sound of the song, giving it a special flavor and stirring up waves of emotions in you, the listener.

The band comments on the new single:

For each of us, the song symbolizes an episode in life that we had to face head-on without looking back.

It presents a broader view of where we envision going in our style, with softer parts, more technically diverse synths, and alternating clean and screaming voices.

Modern Metalcore band Taking Back August hails from BucharestRomania. The band was formed in 2020 by musicians Alex Precup (vocals), Claudiu Ene (bass), George Motei (guitar), Alex Iliescu (guitar), and Moroianu Gabriel (drums).

Over the first two years of its existence, Taking Back August experienced and overcome many challenges, including participating in the Posada Rock and Metal Gates festivals. Alex Precup (vocals) competed and ranked second in the Superstar Romania 2021 competition!

The first single, “Welcome Home”, was released in October 2020 along with a lyric video. The song’s message, a well-crafted one, managed to overcome the barriers imposed by the listeners’ expectations. Following the release of the first single, the band began working hard on its first record, the EP “The Devil’s Crown” – released in September 2021.

Currently, the five members of the band are composing the songs to be featured on the first studio album, which will be released at the end of 2022.

LIVING TARGET drop new video ‘Autopilot No Control’!

Punk Metal band Living Target proudly present their video for “Autopilot No Control”, track taken from their EP “Fire & Forget”, out via Wormholedeath.

According to Living Target, ‘Autopilot No Control’ is the perfect example of how to make a video with band members spread over three different countries and how to get a mad and moody super hero to join your band.

Living Target started out as an online recording project early 2021 made up of Norman Quetsch, Marco Bella and Mike Lacey. The band members are spread over three different countries and everyone has his own recording facilities. Norman in Germany plays guitars and bass. Marco in Italy plays the drums and is the sound- and mixing engineer. Mike is based in the US and is the vocalist. It’s hard to believe the band has never met in person. Within only few months they have created powerful and catchy songs, each member contributing with his own musical influence and style and the result is an original sound that makes the listener think these guys have been playing together for years.

(review) Drone Hunter – In Gear

Our Croatian underground scene just thrives and pulsates with great bands and releases and I remember the first time I saw Drone Hunter from neighbouring Varaždin town. It was an open air gig organized by members of MC Miners from Varaždin behind one shopping mall with Đubrivo from Split and some other bands and I immediately fell in love with Drone Hunter´s music. Later on my band played a house gig in Varaždin in a garage of one guy´s home and it was fantastic. I interviewed the guys for this zine and reviewed earlier releases. Now, it is time for a new e.p. This one contains 5 songs. Although Drone Hunter are an instrumental band and I am not an avid fan of bands without vocals, this one is so good that vocals are not needed, the instruments do the talking. Songs are so well written that they tell a story. The music of Drone Hunter is hard to categorize, but I will try. It is a mixture of doom, stoner, sludge, hard rock and atmospheric post rock. But, what brought more joy to this heart are some faster, almost thrash metal parts of the songs Cabin Fever and The Dark Den Brought Me Here. Production on this e.p. is so strong and great, courtesy of Tompa at e-minor studio in Varaždin, this dude does great job with many bands from this scene here up north. Anyway, if you like atmosphere, harsh riffs, aggression, emotions, check out Drone Hunter and support the scene.
