Yvet Garden will release their next EP ‘A Long Way Down’ on KROD Records in late autumn 2023. Here is the new single/video!

Yvet Garden have signed to KROD Records for a very dark EP, more melancholy and rocking than their previous pop-punk releases. This will be a 6-track EP on a pretty purple vinyl format, which will be available for pre-order in September. Yvet Garden presents their second single ‘ When The Angels Fall‘ from the EP.

When The Angels Fall, as its name suggests, is a rather dark song about depression. Rudy from the band tells us more about his story:

After our epic trip to the UK at the end of 2019, some members took a step back from the band and the global pandemic followed, which was mentally quite difficult on a personal level for all of us. This song is the 1st composition Flo has come up with since then, and I was keen to express what I was feeling at the time. Depression is a subject I take very seriously, as it’s often invisible to others and can cause a lot of damage. Rest assured, I’m fine! But not everyone is, so don’t hesitate to speak out. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Yvet Garden in a few words…

Formed in 2015 in Valence, Yvet Garden is all about rock. Sometimes punk-rock, sometimes metal, the 4 valentines string together their devastating riffs through atmospheres tinged with darkness and melancholy. Following the release of their 1st EP “Twisted Tales” in 2018, the band has forged a solid live reputation across France and England. Both in clubs and in some of the country’s finest venues (Bataclan, Transbordeur, Backstage, CCO). In the course of 2021, the band will return to the studio illegally during confinement to record their second opus, scheduled for autumn 2023. This will mark a transition in the band’s musical evolution, under the impetus of KROD Records, which the quartet will join in early 2023.

Finnish pop-punk band Broken Trend reveal new video!

Broken Trend is a 5-piece Pop-Punk / Post-Hardcore band from Helsinki, Finland. With a melancholic, fast-paced and grungy sound they bring a new sound to the stage.

“Oceanview Drive” is the first single from their upcoming debut album. View the video on YouTube:

“We decided to film our music video in this legendary skate park at Suvilahti because it has great athmosphere and we love the diy culture. Sadly it’s going to be demolished so we wanted to commemorate it and show some respect. We can say that we filmed the video on a first day of summer at the most insane place in Helsinki.” Janne (guitar)

“This song is one of our more upbeat and chill songs. We wrote it in may 2022 while were chilling at our cabin by the sea and we got super drunk the night before. I had passed tf out and Janne woke me up about an hour later like “dude, I just wrote a banger”. I wrote the lyrics in like 25 minutes and yeah, that’s how the song was born” Tony (lead vocals)

Broken Trend signed a record deal with Love Is Punk Records and have been working tirelessly on their upcoming debut album. Love Is Punk Records is a independent label from Finland which releases punk oriented music.

Elm Tree Circle is back with Bae | Emo Pop-Punk from Germany/Canada

Elm Tree Circle is bae-ck.

Get ready for a journey packed with this self-deprecating humor that hits close to home for anyone who’s ever felt inadequate in matters of the heart. In a catchy and clever way, the lyrics lay bare the struggles of imposter syndrome and the fear of not measuring up. With a touch of humor and a dash of vulnerability, the singer admits to being a total weirdo and doubts their ability to even be in the same league as their crush. It’s like watching a quirky rom-com unfold as they stumble over their words, feeling beneath the object of their affection. The song cleverly compares their dynamic to a tree and its leaves, acknowledging the power imbalance. But amidst the self-doubt, there’s a longing to overcome their fears and take a chance. The chorus kicks in with a catchy rhythm, highlighting how this potential partner is way too hot for them. It’s a powerplay dilemma—do they walk away or take the risk? The song perfectly captures that feeling of disbelief when someone so amazing actually shows interest on a Saturday night. The second verse takes a humorous twist, as the singer realizes that it’s crush likes “freaks,” but he can’t help but question their own worthiness. He even envision hitting the streets together, only to make themselves look like fools in comparison. With every line, this song embraces the bittersweet reality of feeling like prey instead of a worthy contender. So, get ready to bop your head, laugh, and relate as you immerse yourself in this infectious and relatable tune that’s sure to leave you singing along.
