Vienna punks released new single Nazissist!

The Rumperts, a Viennese punk rock steam engine, are letting off some steam again this week – with their new single “Nazissist”. The wordplay of narcissist and Nazi is directed at the smugness and sexism of right-wing populists. Her clear statement: there is no feminism in right-wing extremism; being a Nazi also always means being a sexist.

The song is an all-around hit, singer Pat and the three instrumentalists are banging out their second single from the new album coming out in 2023, which was produced at the legendary Blasting Room in Colorado.

The Rumperts – Nazissist

A “Fuck You” to Misogyny! For The Rumperts it’s clear: there is no feminism in national socialism and there a no nice sexists either…

The four piece punk band recently got the chance to travel all the way from Vienna to Colorado to work together with Chris Beeble in the legendary Blasting Room Studios, where music from Rise Against, Propagandhi, Lagwagon, Face to Face and so many more great punkrock bands were recorded and brought to life.

The lyrics where inspired by Rickys bad experience with men and came right from the heart- she just wrote about her anger and what she hates most about certain men. Pat added the ideal composition to show the aggressive vibe. Jackie totally agreed with the message and added her unique guitar sound to spread the Fuck You Message. Lukes bursting beats kick ass to all the Neanderthal mysogonists out there. The song is a big FUCK YOU from the the Rumperts to all sexists, homophobes and racists.

(review) Quitters – Captain Are We Thinking

Quitters are in no way strangers to the pages of this zine. These French punk rockers have a new full length and this one offers 12 beautiful songs of melodic punk rock, maybe not fast but powerful mid tempo anthems delivering awesome melodies, strong vocal performance and backing vocal harmonies with great lyrics yours truly can totally relate to. It is very hard to choose personal favorites between these songs because every time I listen to this record again and again I always find something new and beautiful to check out and that is a magic of this record. If I must mention my current bunch of favorite songs, that would be When The Sun Goes Down, Broken World, A Full Plate And An Empty Heart, those three would be my highlights. But, as I said, you gotta find your own. Great record.

(review) Between Bodies – Electric Sleep

Between Bodies are from Germany and this is their new full length album containing 11 songs. After listening to as a whole and when writing this, I must admit that I enjoyed this one through and through. This is a nice record filled with melodic, emotional punk rock with lots of melody, heart and superb songwriting and lyrics. The vocals are beautiful, fitting just perfectly to the songs. Guitar work delivers punk rock melodies, energy and strength but there are also some indie and post punk influences here and there, as well as pop punk. But, rather this band being snotty clone or boring pop punk, Between Bodies have that something what it takes to write great songs and play great music. This is mid tempo, not fast, but strong material nonetheless. My personal favorites are Stronger Than Me, Gallows and Crosses In The Distance.
