Spoilers (UK) present new single and video ‘Peaches and Cream’!

Canterbury, UK. “Living the dream – You can have everything in life you ever wanted and dreamed of… and it does make you happy most of the time.”, says the band is the song about.  “People making their lives look like a fairy tale and insanely happy… and then when you run into them they’re actually having a really bad time.”

Inspired by anxiety and depression this high energy song kicks ass but tells an important message at the same time: Being stuck between living the dream and feeling out of place, between feeling great and being envious.

“It was something a bloke I used to drink with would say, he’d have a really
positive story always ending somehow on a downer.”, singer Dan Goatham (also known for being in SNUFF) “And he once said “well, it ain’t all peaches and cream.” So I stole it.”

The hammond organ on the song is played by Simon Short, known for his apperance in the Seattle based band The Drowns.

(review) The Old Breed/Squared Off – Split

The Old Breed and Squared Off released split EP containing two songs from each band. Squared Off are from Chicago and their side of this little record is two songs of street punk with some faster hardcore oriented music like in ‘Screen’ and more UK OI influenced melodic street punk in ‘Lessons Never Learned reminding me in a way of Booze & Glory and similar bands. The Old Breed are from Toledo and are a bit harsher playing more hardcore punk street side of music and sounding a bit less melodic and more dirty. I like Squared Off side of this little record a bit more, being a more melodic sucker but both bands are worth listening to and checking out especially ‘Left Behind’ and ‘Call To War’. Four songs by two great bands!

(review) Frenzal Rhomb – ‘The Cup Of Pestilence’ (Fat Wreck Chords)

Frenzal Rhomb sviraju odličan miks nineties melodic hardcore skatepunka i Ramonescorea, dakle, brzo, energično, poletno i melodično. Zakon album!
