Tko bi rekao?! Dvadeset godina je prošlo i berlinski street punkeri Toxpack slave ovu respektabilnu godišnjicu. Kako bolje proslaviti nego izbaciti na scenu novi uradak, novu ploču i odličnu kad smo već kod toga. Njemački jezik i punk mi je nekako uvijek išao skupa i taj jezik zvuči moćno uz ekstremnu muziku, bilo punk, bilo metal, tako da ima nečeg u tome što uvijek razigra moje staro srce. Što možemo očekivati na ovom albumu? Petnaestak vrhunskih upbeat street punk pjesama himničnih refrena koji te naprosto tjeraju da se digneš, pokažeš srednji prst i nastaviš dalje sam protiv svih. Svi tekstovi su na njemačkom jeziku i variraju od obračuna s neprijateljima i bivšom braćom do ljubavi, preživljavanja, usamljenosti, prkosa i odražavaju zapravo sve što ovaj bend zapravo je i o čemu govori sve ove godine. Gitare su melodične, ali producirane taman po mojem ukusu, onako režuće i metalizirane s ponekim thrash ili groove metal utjecajem hardcore 90-ih godina s kakvim sam odrastao. Tko je ikada osjetio miris asfalta, zvjezdano noćno nebo, miris starog motornog ulja na cesti kraj pločnika i smrad mokraće iz haustora u kojem piješ s prijateljima pivo ili bambus ili što već, voljeti će i shvatiti ovaj album. Odlično i preporuka.

The band’s debut full-length “feels” is scheduled to be released on 22.02.2022. digitally, and as a CD or a cassette via JeboTon (CRO), Horn & Hoof Records (UK), Nasty Cut Records (EU) and We’re Trying Records (US). Beng Beng Cocktail’s ‘Choices’ was one of those albums we just listened to over and over again. It’s an absolute classic. Imagine Rodrigo y Gabriela in some sort of bar fight with Rancid and add some Hip Hop-esque vocals and you won’t be far off the mark. Brilliant stuff! Beng Beng Cocktail label themselves as Crystalcore. They “take into consideration both DIY and ‘We do what we like and we like what we do’ concepts”.
The band say “crystalcore breaks out through uncontaminated beat, genuine ska tones and straightforward acoustic radiance out coming from insistent hardcore voices shaped by the daily nightmare of human kind.” When the opportunity came along to release their new album, we jumped at the chance. Now featuring a drummer and a faster and more aggressive delivery, this is another absolute belter that you need in your life.
