BIO:

Gibberish saw light of day in 2015, launched by 2 Japanese skatepunk nerds Yuto and Tetsuya.

The band focuses on making 90′- 00’s influenced skatepunk songs through email chain with 2 American and Italian skatepunk geeks, Kyle Olson and Alex Gavazzi.

In October 2015, the debut single Milo was released via a compilation called “We Carry the Torch”, released by Torch of Hope Records, while July 2016 marked the release of their highly acclaimed first EP “Between Timid and Timbuktu”.

In April 2020 the band was on the lineup of Manchester Punk Fest for their first ever live show, but due to COVID-19, the festival was cancelled.

Gibberish is gearing up to release their debut LP Strangers in 2021, via Thousand Islands Records.

(review) Misgivings – Dream Neighbour (Lockjaw Records)

LJDIG205 Misgivings - Dream Neighbour Artwork

Misgivings are in no way strangers to the pages of this zine, I reviewed their debut record couple of years ago. Now it is time for their sophomore release with Lockjaw Records. Misgivings are celebrating their tenth birthday and what better way to celebrate it than with releasing new album and also documentary about studio time, featuring interviews with the band. This new one contains ten songs and I can safely say that band evolved further in songwriting making this one even stronger than debut album. What do we get here? Melodic, heartfelt and emotional punk rock with superb vocal melodies, guitar work, backing vocal harmonies and smart and beautiful lyrics which address mental health, endurance in today´s world, dependency and similar topics that I as a listener can totally relate to. My personal favorites on this record are Loyal Souls, Sober Forever and Token Gesture, but you must find yours. I love how this record plays with listener´s emotions, bringing joy and melancholy at the same time. Great second effort.

Bull Brigade are in no way strangers to this zine. Couple of months ago we did an interview for this zine and now I am happy to announce that they released new single.

See what the Band says about “Quaranta”

Quaranta is the critical photograph of the life of a forty-year-old who continues to live as if he were still 20 years old: dreams, uncertainties, fears, mistakes, the frenetic “everything to do” and that eternal desire to go away . Punk means it’s not over.

The song was written by Eugenio in a particularly difficult and complex moment of his life.

Quaranta is the first single taken from the upcoming full length record which will be released via Demons Run Amok in September 2021
