(review) Van Huskins-Bless Yr Heart

NAC_4-Panel_Jcard_BACK_Template_forILLUSTRATOR

Van Huskins are band coming from Charlotte, USA and the members of the band have been long time veterans in the scene there. I must admit that I have never heard of these guys prior to this record, but that is the beauty of the underground. Every day discovering new stuff, new bands, new friendships and what is best, it lasts all the time. Van Huskins deliver 6 songs on this record. The music of this band can be described as raw punkrock, but this is so much more. I can also hear noise, post punk, old school metal and doom influences here. The songs are really energetic in their rawness and their ability to awake something primal in the listener, making your fist pump in the air and rock and roll all the way. The songs Its Not Like You Murdered Somebody and Post-Apocalyptic Birds are sure to become your favorite because I recommend these songs as being somehow highlight of this record for me. Punk is what you make of it, anything goes remember? So, if you are into raw and non compromise punkrock, this one is right for you.

Cliffhanger released their new video!

Chicago’s pop punk band Cliffhanger are excited to share their new music video for the song called “Diane”.

Cliffhanger self-produced the melodic, high-energy track at Flashpoint Chicago and partnered with Michael Govaere (ex-Every Avenue) for mixing and mastering.

Vocalist Matt Meindl reflects, “’Diane’ is an extremely personal song for me as it is named after my late mother. She passed away when I was young and I often had to deal with being alone. I had to learn to grow up fast while keeping a level head.”

The music video for “Diane” was directed by Matt Adema. The video emphasizes separation while there are no scenes of the entire band together. The video also relates to the harsh realization at our current global environment.

(new single-lyric video) British skatepunks Ructions released new single.

Design_Accident_Art

Ructions are a fast melodic hardcore band from Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK. Comprising Matt (guitar), Connor (drums), Steve (bass), Janek (guitar) and Johnny (vocals), they play songs born of the contemporary political moment, with killer riffs and huge choruses.

The band’s first single, “Design Accident”, is a soaring take-down of free world leaders’ faux-interests in climate change and resulting environmental disasters. The future is anchored to their ignorance.
