Respiro Nocivo are ska core band from Vicenza, Italy and they recently released their new e.p. and I listened and reviewed it for our zine.
I must say that I am totally fan of Italian language as singing language in punk songs. I love how Italian has that melodic vibe and fits perfectly into melodic punk and ska songs of awesome Italian bands. Respiro Nocivo have been in the scene since 2009. This time, they offer 5 songs on this record. They play melodic punk with ska core influences and beautiful anthemic choruses made for singing along although I am not fluent in Italian and jumping all around, smiling and hugging brothers and sisters around me. I love how saxophone passes perfectly in La Mia Crew, for me total highlight of this record with awesome back vocal harmonies, the singer´s voice fits perfectly into this music. Also, my other total favorite is the title track, I still get the goosebumps when I remember the fast verses, hymnic chorus, sax and guitar work. This is great record! Go find out yourself!
We’ve been hard at work, mining the trenches to uncover all the lost and loved songs from LEFTÖVER CRACK’s career. That’s no small task, considering their 20+ years of cranking out some of the most iconic crust/punk/ska ever created. Well, after years of tracking down mislaid tapes, long-out-of-print 7”s, and hidden recordings, we are thrilled to reveal that on November 30th, LEFTÖVER LEFTÖVER CRACK will see the light of day! Packed with 30 tracks of B-sides and rarities, you’ll also enjoy two songs that were previously unreleased on digital. Trust us, this is an excellent addition to the LEFTÖVER CRACK cannon, and is available today for pre-order!
LOC will be heading out on an epic tour this November with an incredible lineup. Check out the dates with Negative Approach, Crazy And The Brains, and more, right here
The new studio album of Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the legendary ska core band is upon us! I listened and reviewed the record for this webzine!
The legendary purveyors of ska core, a mixture of ska, punkrock and hardcore are now celebrating their 35 years anniversary. This brand new album contains 14 songs of melodic skacore at it´s best. The record is diverse in mood and vibe, from the more energetic “Green Bay, Wisconsin” to the more calm punkrock vibe of “The Constant”. One of my personal favorites of this record is “Wonderful Day For The Race” being the true anthem just made for live singing along and dancing to the ska punk beat. Reggae beat of “Unified” is an anthem of unity and the scene that we all love so much. “Closer to Nowhere” is a classic ska song for the 21st century and I would love to hear this song on some open air festival on the warm Summer evening dancing with my beloved to this awesome ska rythm. “Walked Like a Ghost” is for me the most emotional song on the record with the lyrics that totally touched my heart. “In Honor Of” and “After the Music is Over” are the songs that will make your day and put a smile on your tired face. Good album.
