Word from Fat Wreck Chords:

Huzzah! Here’s one thing happening in 2020 that doesn’t suck: being able to celebrate 25 years with NOFX! We’re ending this year’s 25th-anniversary series with their illustrious “I Heard They Suck Live,” release. You can pre-order the limited colored vinyl, with a foil accented cover, right now. It’s also available in a limited bundle with a T-shirt inspired by the album artwork! We expect to ship the vinyl in late January.

If you missed out on ordering the other anniversary pressings: Lagwagon, No Use For A Name, or Good Riddance, you’re shit out of luck! So, don’t sleep on it.

(review) Attic Salt – get wise (jump start records)

334674

Time for beautiful pop punk/melodic punk rock to grace the pages of this zine again. Attic Salt are from Springfield, IL and this is their second record. This one contains 10 songs of awesome, uplifting melodic punk with lost of pop punk influences, yet remaining enough energetic not to get boring. What immediately catches my ear and heart is fantastic dual vocals, Alyssa Currie and Andy Harmon complete each other with their voices perfectly, thus creating sonic landscape that takes you to some other level totally. The songwriting is catchy, harmonies are superb and the songs remain in your mind making you hum and sing while smiling at the same time. This is great, uplifting, inspiring and record with songs that make you wish that you wrote them. Favorite songs: Last Song, MOD, Washington Street.

(review) Various – …at the Speed of Sound Vol 1.2 (Sound Speed Records)

cover

I met Kris Manning at Punk Rock Holiday 2018 and we became buddies and again in 2019 and he is just a great guy and his energy and effort he does for the scene is just inspiring. He runs a small label Sound Speed Records with awesome bands and this compilation is important and dedicated to all of us who grew up in the nineties listening to endless compilations discovering new bands.

These 15 songs feature 11 different bands from the label and most of them are known already, like fantastic Chaser, CF98 from Poland or awesome Krang from Czech, For I Am from Belgium or Holland´ s Drunktank, but also Apathy Cycle and The Dead Krazukies or Flag On Fire and The Grim are sure to become your fan favorites. This is superb compilation containing skatepunk, melodic punk rock and hardcore for everyone of us fans and those who wish to discover new bands.
