(record review)WET DREAMS-Wet Dreams(Black Pop Records)

Norway is not only home for black metal, but also good punkrock. Wet Dreams from Oslo are garage punk band and I listened and reviewed their new self titled record, that is out via Black Pop Records, for our zine.

What immediately comes to mind when the album starts is dirty rock n roll production of the album, bass being distorted, guitars tuned up and the vocals sounding like distorted or singing with some effects on, like in the song Bad Boy. The album contains 10 songs in harsh punk garage style. What I was reminded of while listening to the music of Wet Dreams is an Australian band called Clowns. This music somehow reminds me of Clowns, but a bit slower and more rock n rollish. This whole garage punk thing is really not my cup of tea, so even 60-ies influenced songs like Beautiful passed me by without me noticing or being very deligthed with the music. There are also some blues influences like in Blueslata, but still, somehow, this album just doesn´t work out for me. Unfortunately this band is just not my cup of tea.

(record review)PIZZATRAMP-Grand Relapse(TNSrecords)

We have already written about the Welsh trio Pizzatramp on the pages of this zine. Now, their second album comes out in April via TNSrecords and I listened and reviewed it for our zine.

cover

Formed in 2014.this band is an epitome of DIY hardcore punk scene, playing superb gigs, delivering killer songs and delighting the hearts, ears and minds of punx, hardcore kids and skaters out there throughout the world. This new album contains 15 songs of ultraenergetic fast thrash skatepunk hardcore with fast drumming, vocals screamed at the top of the lungs, some groovy moshing parts and full speed ahead drive hehe. Lyrically Pizzatramp cover various themes, from fun and humour everyday to more serious topics about faults in everyday society that surrounds us. I love Millions Of Dead Goths, Theres Been A Murder and Stop Being A Racist Cunt as my highlights of the album. This is high energy hardcore, so get it and dance.
