I love horror and am an avid collector of horror movies but sometimes, just sometimes I run into something that is possible to love only by true die hard horror fans. Blood Shack is one of such movies. This one is about a cottage with an ancient curse on it, like settlers killed native American tribe chief’s son and so they were dismembered and anyone who tries to stay a night in that cottage will die dismembered. Fast forward to now, meetl Daniel, crazy cowboy who is a hired worked by Carol, who just inherited that land and also that cottage. As it usually goes, there are brutal murders around and seems that the tribe chief’s ghost is back killing everyone who enters the cottage. Well, this movie is total freaking trash and only a true horror enthusiast like myself could stand all hour and ten minutes watching it. The killer looks like ninja and grunts some odd sounds killing and stabbing with something that looks like ninja or samurai sword. Actors are total desperation, Carolyn Brandt and Ron Haydock are a tiny bit above others but it is like I collect people in front of my neighborhood store and make movie with them. If it were parody, that would be awesome, but it is not. But, it is a proto slasher movie before golden era of slasher with enough bloody moments, so it is welcome in my collection.

(review) Dyoxidon – ‘The Decaying Multiverse’
Dyoxidon is hailing from United States and this is third full length opus. This one man band is in fact spawn of one m_psymorgh and as you might have guessed it, music is different than your average black or death metal band. Dyoxidon delivers armageddon. Point. It delivers apocalyptic vision of man’s future, where machines and meat are equal parts of one, where coldness of space and coldness of surgical steel became prevalent in relation to blood, muscle and meat. This is dark album, pretty chaotic in some song parts, reminding me of harsher version of Norwegian Mysticum, or Italian Aborym, yet lot harsher and even colder. Songs are pretty long and this relentlessness continues grinding all in its path. But, I can hear some melancholic, almost symphonic synth melody coming through the cold machine sound delivering almost cry for help or sigh of conquered humanity for past times, when all was much more simple and better for them. But I love this machine inferno, I love this chaos, I love the synthesis of man and machine and this album is a killer. My personal favorites are ‘Extinction(Errata)’, ‘Parasite Communion’ and ‘Spectravore’.

(review) Missbliss! – ‘Double Death Deluxe Edition’
Missbliss! are hailing from Newport, North Carolina and this is their debut EP in deluxe edition. There are six songs of horror vaudeville here on this little opus mixing punk rock, death rock, horror punk and shock rock into one intense yet fun as Hell drama and gory glory as the song says haha! I just love bands such as this one. I love the use of samples of murder news, guignol theatre intro and all the sampling in general between the songs. Vocals are more death rock sounding, but there are such fine melodies that make you crawl with goosebumps like awesome ‘Away From Me’. My personal hit is ‘Killing U Tonite’ being more straightforward horror punk song hit and reggae/horror punk like ‘TURNT’, but all the songs on this little opus are worth checking out if you are into horror/shock rock so go get this one. I wonder if the name of the band was inspired by one of my favorite girl wrestlers of all time, Alexa Bliss hehe.
