DESPISING AGE’s new lyric video for ”Deterioration” unleashed; New Album “Belligerent” out today!

On the occasion of the new album Belligerent, to be released on June, 5th via Planet K Records, the Swiss Death Metal outfit DESPISING AGE shares a new lyric video for the track “Deterioration”.

The new DESPISING AGE album deals with issues such as hate, nihilism and misanthropy.

The concept “belligerent” is described in each song in a different form as a cataclysm, a murder or an event of a dominant character often psychological.

The lyric video for Deteriorationcan be viewed on Planet K Records YouTube channel – https://bit.ly/34nid2g

DESPISING AGE started from a death metal that tended to be inspired by the old school scene of Florida in the 90s, cultivating the ambition to evolve with each release. With Belligerent the band presents a CD full of blast beat and death metal, with a background marked by thrash metal.

Belligerent has been recorded by Jack Demon at Brainscan Studio, mixed and mastered by Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio. The artwork is by Mauro Mazzara (M2 Illustration).

The album is available as a jewel case and digital download on the label Bandcamp page (https://planetkrecords.bandcamp.com/album/despising-age-belligerent).

(review) The Rumjacks – HESTIA

cover

They say new beginnings are hard, but The Rumjacks did it and proved it is sometimes worth to have a new start. The Aussies recruited new American singer Mike Rivkees and it proved to be full bullseye. Hence, new album, new start. Hestia offers 14 songs of celtic punk mixed with street punk and oi influences. Now, everyone who reads this zine will know that I am not an avid fan of celtic punk of folk punk at all, but this record is full of melodies and has just enough guitars and harmonies, even some ska parts, not to be boring and not to be celtic punk that I don´t like. Some songs remind me a lot of Bruisers, or maybe even Anti Heroes in some song parts. Mike´s voice fits perfectly to the songs and it seems that a change brought new energy in the band, which was wanted and needed. This fifth album is probably in my opinion the best this band had to offer until now, but that doesn´t mean that they will not provide something even better in years to come. My personal highlights: Hestia, Light In My Shadow, Wanderlust.
