Punk rock legends Jughead’s Revenge officially releases a new song today and it’s streaming everywhere! Released via People of Punk Rock Records, “American Gestures” is the band’s first new studio recording since the recording of their 1999 album “Pearly Gates”.

About Jughead’s Revenge:Jughead’s Revenge is an American punk rock band. They originally formed in Los Angeles, California, United States, in 1989. To date, Jughead’s Revenge has released six studio albums (the most recent being 1999’s Pearly Gates). After 12 years of recording and touring extensively, Jughead’s Revenge disbanded in 2001 but reformed in 2009 and has continued to perform at a number of live shows since 2010.

(review) Sinira – The Everlorn (Northern Silence Productions)

Today´s featured band is Texas based melodic black death metal entity called Sinira. It has been active in the scene since 2016 and is a brainchild of one Knell who handles all the instruments and vocals. Northern Silence Productions released debut full length album and it contains eight songs in just about less than one hour duration. I love melodic black death metal in the vein of Gothenburg styled bands like Dissection, Gates of Ishtar, Dawn and similar European acts meaning aggressive and fast paced black death metal with superb guitar melodies and hooks, dark and melancholic, also epic vibe to the songs and lyrics that are personal yet also in your face in a way if you read between the lines. This album was pure energy bomb when I first listened to it and I gladly return to music of Sinira ever so often because it is a lesson how to write and play perfect album with no fillers, only dark energy, cold yet warming to your old blackened metal heart. My personal favorites are: Gardens of Pestilence, Tear Ladened Skies and Our Final Nightfall. Epic album.

Legendary KAT present new video for single Satan’s Nights / Noce Szatana

The Metal legend and Thrash pioneers KAT present the new music video for the single “Satan’s Nights / Noce Szatana” taken from their latest album “The Last Convoy”.

Regarding the song, the guitarist Piotr Luczyk states: “Satan’s Nights” – that’s what we used to play before our first album in 1984 “.

“Satan’s Nights / Noce Szatana” video was premiered in world exclusive for Calida Rocks on 1st April 2021 in collaboration with James Whittall.

The album, marks the 40th anniversary of the band. “The Last Convoy” was recorded during the Covid-19 pandemic and released on 25th September 2020.
