Stockholm, Sweden’s LIKE TORCHES has announced the release of their upcoming album Love And Losses, set for release on November 1st on Victory Records. These five passionate musicians have worked diligently across two continents over the last several years to create a fresh, stellar rock album for the current times. Today, the quintet deliver the first music video from the album, “The Guilt Of Surviving.”

“By realizing you’ve made mistakes you will grow and find strength,” confides guitarist/vocalist Daniel Karn. “The song is proving that you can find power and embrace your past, even the mistakes.”

“The music video takes us back to playing smaller shows, and just enjoying the small and simple things in life. Sometimes in the present, we might make things complicated for ourselves in trying to find happiness. Remembering these simpler times can help us overcome current obstacles and realizing that life doesn’t have to be complicated.”

Yellowcard vocalist Ryan Key took lead as producer as the Swedish outfit packed up and took to the streets of Nashville to create Loves And Losses. Key interjects, “It’s hard to explain the excitement hearing your work completed like this, so proud of these dudes and these songs.” On the recording of the band’s first material in over two years, Karn explains, “We wanted to combat our normal surroundings, and the culture of Nashville helped us be more creative and filled us with so much inspiration so we could find our perfect sound. We literally explored new territories and that allowed us to feel the highs and lows of being in a band, hence the name Loves And Losses.

Rounded out by vocalist Jonathan Karn, guitarist Erik Thyr, bassist Zakarias Faleij and drummer Jimmy Brunkvist, LIKE TORCHES have toured with such artists as Hit The Lights, Memphis May Fire, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard and many others across Europe, Japan, the United States and Australia. Karn promises fans, “To everyone that has supported us through this journey: We took our time on this one. We wanted to make it right. And we did. The record came out sounding just the way we hoped and dreamed it would. Thank you so much for the patience and see you on the road soon!”

(new single/lyric video-punkrock) Hungarian punks Bankrupt pay tribute to Joe Strummer with a single and lyric video!

Long standing Hungarian punk rock band Bankrupt have released a lyric video for their new single “Come Back Joe Strummer”. Released just a week ahead of the legendary Clash frontman’s birthday (21 Aug), the song is a reminder that Joe Strummer was not just a punk rock visionary, but he also realized the importance of climate change awareness well ahead of his time.

“Thank you for the soundtrack of Climate Judgement Day” is a reference to the apocalyptic lyrics of London Calling, which feel a lot more real with today’s news headlines. In these critical times, we’d need revolutionary voices like Joe Strummer more than ever. (Hence the superhero artwork.)

The song is available on Bandcamp, Spotify and all other digital platforms. It’s recommended to fans of The Clash and Clash-influenced bands such as Rancid or The Interrupters.

All profits from the track will be donated to the Joe Strummer Foundation.

Teenage Bottlerocket are releasing a split single with Human Robots!

The split 7” comes out on September 6th, and you can pre-order it today! Additionally, TBR will be tearing it up, headlining the FAT TOUR, which kicks off this month! Check out what Ray Bottlerocket had to say about the 7” and teaming up with his son Milo, below.

“Hello all! When Teenage Bottlerocket was at the Blasting Room working on “Stay Rad,” my son Milo came to the studio and recorded two songs with his band Human Robots. It wasn’t hard getting his band together, because Milo plays all the instruments and sings on the two songs he wrote. I guess it’s a one-man band (yes, he has no friends). His songs turned out great, and we somehow convinced Fat Wreck Chords to release a split 7” featuring the TBR songs “Olivia Goes to Bolivia” and “Everything To Me,” as well as the Human Robots songs “Step On Em All” and “I Want to Hang Out With You.” Chris Shary did the artwork, and it all turned out great. This is the best split since Taco Bell teamed up with KFC! I love sharing this rock n roll life with my son, Milo. Look out world; Human Robots are stoked to shred and ready to party!”

Speaking of party, the 2019 Fat Tour is just around the corner. Come hang out with us, Mean JeansClowns and Jen Pop (The Bombpops)!!
