(review) Boötes Void – Panta Rhei

Here is the new opus by German Boötes Void and it is a crusher! What can we expect on this one? Eight tracks of atmospheric and crushing death metal with lots of black metal elements, blast beats and changing of rhythm into some more slower and atmospheric parts which rule. Of course there are melancholic nice melodies that mix with all out war and aggression of the bombastic songwriting. Vocals are in death metal growling vein but fit perfectly to the all around musical onslaught kinda reminding me of Nergal but maybe that’s just me. Overall vibe of the album reminds me of coldness and mercilessness of space. Nice usage of epic and sad sample from Blade Runner in this one too. For me, my personal favorites on this one are View From Nihil and Lost In Oblivion, you discover yours.
