(new single/clip) Melodic punks Ink Bomb releases new music video: ‘Theme Song’!

Ink Bomb is an active band consisting of four very different individuals to whom the band is important. “If you tour a lot together and write and record music together, you spend a long time together. You also experience each other at times when you are not the best version of yourself. Both the pursuit of our band dreams and the creative expression provide mental support when things don’t go well at other aspects of life,” singer Joost says.

“Uptempo songs with a fiery core / Make soothing salves for open sores / Ammo for those darker days / When your hearts been led astray”

“I was working on a melody for a song and since I don’t write lyrics I was just singing the words ink bomb over and over again as a demo for our singer Joost”, Ink Bomb guitar player Quirijn explains. “Joost took this as a cue to write a theme song for the band.”

For the energetic music video, Ink Bomb worked together again with Edwin Willemsen from Ambivalent Aardvark Productions who also shot the recent video for the song Human Remains. The video was shot in a so-called Instagram museum called Akwart Experience in the little town of Elst. Ink Bomb bassist Arina: “One of the rooms is covered in paint splashes, so a literal ink bomb exploded. This was just the perfect place for the video.”

Ink Bomb will be returning to the studio very soon to record more songs for their second album, expected in 2023.

(news) Exclusive pre-listening of Russian black metal DRAKON ‘High Tales’!

DRAKON was born in 2017 as collaboration between Veleyar (guitar, music) and Terror (vocals, bass). In 2017, the first album ‘First’ was released which contains cover of the Polish black metal band Mgła’s song. After the release line-up split, and Terror released the instrumental EP ‘The Last Battle of Angels’ and project was frozen. In the fall of 2021 Veleyar has resurrected DRAKON on his own and released album titled ‘Awakening’ (2022). After the release, the band immediately began work on the EP ‘High Tales’

Upcoming EP titled ‘High Tales’ includes 5 songs, two of which are cover versions by Unanimated and Enslaved. Music was mixed & mastered by Theodor Borovski (AlkonostDissector) and cover artwork was done by Alexander Tartsus (BalforDepravitySinisterKzohh).

EP ‘High Tales’ will be released as jewelcase CD via Sleaszy Rider on 7th April 2023 (pre-order).

Band commentary about the album: ‘Our new mini-work is lyrically a concept, and even covers for two different Scandinavian bands, seemingly thematically distant from each other, are successfully woven into this common eschatological outline of the entire material. Through reflections on the place of our people in the universe, our fate and role, skaldically-like we tell in new songs, linking them with a common meaning, a parable-warning about the impending end of the world, Ragnarok, the destruction of all life, while saying that this is the purpose of all our human race and irreversible inevitability. Only we must fight and die proudly, with honor, like gods and real warriors. Or maybe survive at the cost of a lot, in order to be cleansed of the dirt of the outgoing circle of time and become stronger, wiser and brighter.‘.

(new single/video) Fearout releases fast-paced metal punk song with heavy lyrics!

Helsinki-based Fearout releases new ’Resistenza’ EP as a follow up for their Bleedthrough (Inverse 2021) debut album. ‘Resistenza’ is released on May 5th 2023 by Inverse Records. New EP will expand band’s repertoire to punk rock, but band still combines their rough-edged metal rock with stoner influences. The second single ‘The End of the World’ is a breathtakingly fast-paced metal punk song with heavy lyrics about the state of the world.

This one is written after the war had started in spring 2022 and the theme and atmosphere is pretty grim. The song lists atrocities done by humans in 20th century. And since we refuse to learn anything from the past, we keep on repeating until we actually will cause the end of the world. This is probably the fastest song we’ve ever written, says lead vocalist Justus.

Biography
