(news – new music) Check out OHP heavy metal anthem cover of AMY WINHOUSE song ‘Rehab’!

Israel born and LA based heavy rock artist OHP (OREN HALMUT) has unleashed his newest, metal cover of an iconic pop single with a brutal rendition of the Billboard chart topping, Grammy Award winning AMY WINEHOUSE single, “Rehab.” With a music video produced, directed, and edited by the inimitable front-man himself, “Rehab” reinterprets the critically beloved, bluesy pop track with boundary-defying guitar riffs and thunderous vocals, wrapping up with a whole new perspective on the universal experience.

Oren started his musical endeavor at the young age of nine in Tel-Aviv Israel. After playing and recording with numerous artists in his home town, he relocated to California in early 2000. Since then, he has been a prominent musical figure in Los Angeles, across the west coast and the nation. He owns H2O studios in North Hollywood, where he works as a producer, drummer and guitar player depending on the needs of each individual project. In 2016 oren started the “ohp metal” channel on youtube which features weekly metal covers of popular songs ranging from pop ,country, hip hop and RnB .The channel has gained over 10000 subscribers and growing weekly.

Oren currently lives in Los Angeles and is endorsed by Vater drumsticks, Dean Markley Guitar Strings and Moody guitar straps.

 This documentary is a portrait of the largest Muslim Punk community in the world, as seen through the eyes of Punk teenagers, in relation to the extreme social, environmental and political environment they live in.

Punk is not dead in Indonesia. There is more at stake than ever. The young street punks in this film are shunned by society and risk incarceration for their appearance. With the Dayak people as their example, they fight for their homeland and against corruption and hypocrisy

(news) SBÄM Exhibit – The art exhibition at SBÄM Fest 4

In ten weeks the SBÄM Fest 4 will take place at the Tabakfabrik in Linz and it is therefore time to introduce our great side actions with which we offer our visitors that certain something extra. The first one is SBÄM Exhibit!

From Salvador Dali to Andi Warhol, artists have influenced and shaped punk in its origins. SBÄM also started with Stefan Beham’s graphics for tour posters, record covers and merchandise of bands. As part of SBÄM Exhibit, he explores his roots and brings national and international artists from the punk universe to SBÄM Fest for an art exhibition.

It’s all about art forms that have shaped punk rock beyond music, and SBÄM Exhibit offers the festival audiences the opportunity to experience art in their own punk scene right on the spot – from street art to visual art, from musicians who are active in various art forms besides music, and artists who have shaped punk rock in some way with their artistic work.
