Tokyo based metalcore outfit Sailing Before The Wind released their new single “Break the Silence (Rerecorded)”.This single is a re-recording of the original track that was on their EP – A Ray Of Light.

The band has been centered around bassist and composer Bitoku Sakamoto who is the only constant member of the lineup, he is also known as a former touring bassist of Crystal Lake. This self-released single features vocalist Kneeya and guitarist Takaya both are founding members of the band to celebrate the band’s 10th anniversary. The track was produced, mixed and mastered by Bitoku.

The lyrics have been rewritten around the theme of the band’s 10 years struggle to get out of Japan’s small metalcore scene. Some of the riffs and lead guitars have also been rearranged to make it more guitar oriented metalcore.

“Break the Silence (Rerecorded)” now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most other online streaming platforms.

CHAOS COMMUTE Berlin-based Punk Rock Duo Band with new single “One Way” taken from their upcoming album “Fairytales and Nightmares” set to be released in November 2021.

About the track:
Times of drastic changes question many societal conventions. Many minorities finally find their voice. The opposition reacts: backwards is the only way. In 1973, a military coup happened in Chile, second home of singer Camilo. Many in his childhood still wanted dictator Pinochet to come back. They wanted the good old times back. This can be applied to today’s populist politicians as well.

(book review) Do What You Want The Story Of Bad Religion – Jim Ruland and Bad Religion

I have waited for a long time to read this one and now that I have, I must say that I am satisfied with this book. Bad Religion are one of the most important punk rock bands in the world and especially in melodic punk hardcore genre and they recently celebrated 40 years in the scene. This book is an autobiography of all ups and downs, from early days till today. Depicts all line-up changes and heartbreaks, alcohol and drug abuse problems and major label controversy. Also, this book has healthy dose of anecdotes that I wanted to read about mixed with more historical contents, like the rise of Epitaph Records and all that punk rock boom in the nineties. This band was always special to me, because through their album Generator I discovered melodic punk and skatepunk scene and my life hasn´t been the same since, that being my other love besides metal. This book is easy to read, it is interesting and doesn´t let up until the very end making you go play all your favorite BR records and songs over and over again celebrating this great band. I saw them play live only once in 2018 and I will definitely check them out as soon gigs and festivals start again. Until then, go get this nice book.
