Groove-infused Australian metal band Carbon Black signs with Wormholedeath!

Hard-hitting Australian metal band Carbon Black has announced a partnership with Wormholedeath for the release of ‘We Remain’ Special Edition. The album was initially released independently in 2022 and received critical acclaim, with several positive reviews. Carbon Black is thrilled to partner with Wormholedeath to bring their music to even more audiences around the world.

‘We Remain’ is an album that Carbon Black is immensely proud of, and for good reason. The album was recorded piece by piece throughout 2020 and 2021, during a time of great personal and global turmoil. Despite the challenges, the band persevered, and the result is a powerful collection of songs that speak to the experiences of the last two years. Legendary producer Kevin “Caveman” Shirley, known for his work with Dream Theater and Iron Maiden, mixed the album, adding his immense experience to create a truly thunderous mix that sets the bar higher than ever. The song “Under Order” also features a guest appearance by former Judas Priest vocalist Tim Ripper Owens.

“We are extremely excited to announce our partnership with Wormholedeath to bring a Special Edition of ‘We Remain’ to a worldwide release,” said Carbon Black. “With their professionalism and proven history, we’re certain the album will reach many more ears than ever before!”

Carbon Black is based on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. Their debut EP ‘Principium’ impressed the critics, scoring 4/5 in both ‘Heavy Mag’ and ‘Metal as F*ck.’ The band’s first album, ‘End of This,’ recorded with ARIA award-winning producer/engineer Lachlan Mitchell, received very positive reviews and exposed the band to many new ears with a string of coveted local shows sharing the stage with Max & Igorr Cavalera, Marty Friedman, Voivod, and more.
Carbon Black’s lineup includes Jonathan Hurley on vocals, Steve Giles on drums and percussion, Rob Giles on bass guitar, and Damon Bishop on guitar. The band’s blend of social and political commentary and a lot of heart has earned them a loyal following and critical acclaim.

Low tuned darkened hardcore metal TOTAL RECALL announce new single ‘Memories are Gone’ Featuring Tim Rogler (Dagger Threat)!

Total Recall was formed in March 2019 in Milan,IT by experienced musicians with 20+ years of touring experience in the metal and hardcore scene. They decided to form this band to honor the memory of a lost friend.

The band released their first full length album ‘Always Together’ via the Australian 1054 Records in July 2021 and after a series of club shows and tour in Europe and UK they unleashed a brand new 7 songs EP to the masses on April 21st 2023 after signing a new deal with the German Label Empty Shells Records.

‘The Void’ was recorded and mixed by the producer Stefano ‘Orkid’ Santi (Cripple Bastards, Forgotten Tomb, Lvcifyer) and mastered by Scott Middleton (former Cancer Bats) and it is the most mature, controversial, dark and aggressive Total Recall release to date. It keeps the rough attitude of the previous album ‘Always Together’ but it will take you to a all different musical landscape enveloping you in a world of raw anxiety and self-conscious anger.

As for the Digital Release Total Recall will unleash 1 single every month on the main digital platforms starting from March 31st with ‘No Light’ (Feat. Diego DD Cavallotti from Lacuna Coil/Inverno) followed by the new single ‘Memories are Gone’ (Feat. Tim Rogler from Dagger Threat) which is available at the following location starting from May 26th.

This is what the band has to say about their new single ‘Memories are Gone’:

‘Memories are Gone it’s a very intimate song that we particularly care about. It reflects our musical evolution and beyond. The mix of styles that can be found in the song make it perhaps one of the most representative of our path. We are extremely happy to have had Tim guest on this song. Dagger Threat are a band that contaminates a lot and they are not afraid to do it, they have been doing it well and for years, writing solid songs and maintaining a precise identity. We recognize ourselves a lot in their approach even if our styles are different.’
