Valar Morghulis deliver strike with Among The Ashes!

Valar Morghulis, hailing from Salisbury, NC is a metal band blended by five guys who all love metal and have a broad range of influences. Combining elements of thrash metal, death metal, black metal, groove metal and doom metal, we strive to make music that fans of multiple sub-genres would like.

We started making music in the spring of 2019 and playing shows by fall that year. We recorded our self-titled EP in January 2020 which was released on 2/29/2020. Little did we know the COVID-19 was about to change the music world as we know it. During this time of lockdowns, limited gatherings, ups and downs, we continue writing new material an will again head to the studio in early 2021 with Audio Helm Studios in Charlotte, NC to record our next EP that will release Summer 2021.

Our latest single Among the Ashes is available for streaming on almost all streaming sources, and for purchase via digital download on Bandcamp and CDBaby. We will be releasing more singles from the EP over the Fall of 2021. With shows opening back up, we are playing some live again, before returning to work on some new materials we’ve been writing the past year.

New single and album from Bloodlines!

Bloodlines released “Lotus,” the second single from their upcoming EP “HEVEL.” The EP marries classic metal core with a distinctly progressive twist, and sees the Gulf Coast 4-piece taking cues from bands like For Today, Impending Doom and Convictions.

“HEVEL” was written to address seasons of life, with the band taking inspiration from the biblical book of Ecclesiastes.

Ecclesiastes uses the word “meaningless” a lot which is translated to “HEVEL” in Hebrew and has a different interpretation. The word hevel in the context of the book means vanishing vapor or smoke. So in essence, Ecclesiastes wasn’t necessarily saying that the work and the seasons we go through in life are meaningless, but rather they are just fleeting, ever changing. Like vapor, here one minute and gone the next.

The EP will be released November 12.

PROSPECTORS: new Dutch experimental metal duo premiere first track “Obsidious Veins” on INVISIBLE ORANGES + set release for debut album!

In collaboration with Invisible Oranges we present to you the first single “Obsidious Veins” by the new Dutch experimental metal mining duo PROSPECTORS!

https://www.invisibleoranges.com/prospectors-obsidious-veins/

‘Proven Lands’ is the debut album by Prospectors wherein the Dutchmen mine the uncharted lands of extreme metal.
Six compositions were recorded with session-drummer Michiel van der Plicht (Pestilence, Carach Angren, ex-God Dethroned) including “Obsidious Veins”, introducing their music with ferocious dissonance and musical ingenuity. In “Become Void” the synth takes over, evoking mystery and suspense. Then the push and pull that opens “Monolithic Structures” gradually turns into a blast beat driven hurricane and makes way for a rocking climax. With ‘Proven Lands’ the Dutchmen take you on a 33-minute trip that is cerebral yet emotive, familiar yet unknown.

In their own words:

“After playing in various (mostly black metal) bands for over a decade, we decided we wanted to try something different. Aware of the limitations we faced and sensing both of us desired to push the envelope conceptually, Prospectors was born. As Prospectors, we take an organic and dynamic sound and use it to explore new musical concepts. We take abstractions and translate these to solid, often dissonant, songs. In doing this we emphasize always putting the music first.”

Tracklist:
1. Ravelling Motion (4:30)
2. Obsidious Veins (4:52)
3. Descent into the Unknown (6:34)
