Sweden has always been great fertile ground for awesome bands and Tear Them Down are from Gothenburg and this is their second full length album. This band has been in the scene since 2010 and did many European tours and also went to Japan. This one features 13 songs of hardcore punk mayhem. It is a nice old school hardcore punk with 80ies influences, fast and strong to make your fist pump in the air with joy and energy in your heart. But, there are also some I would say garage punk, melodic skatepunk and more skatecore influences. My personal favorites are anthems like Sacrifice and also Total Control which I am sure are live favorites to sing along, stage dive and bring smile to your face. Vocals are harsh, shouted in hardcore way, but also transform to more melodic singing and it works perfectly along with harsh and singalong backing vocals. Some of the songs from this album like As We Go Down I listened to over and over again to check out how great they are. Fantastic hardcore album!

The Flatliners share video for new song ‘Souvenir’!
The Flatliners are set to release their highly anticipated album, New Ruin, on August 5th. They’ve already released one single, “Performative Hours,” and they’ve now shared the second, “Souvenir.” Their latest drop brims with a slick chorus that will have you humming for days. Head to FLOOD or our YouTube channel to watch their new video, now! Then, be sure to catch them on tour as they have a whirlwind of dates including Europe, and the U.S. Take a peek at what frontman Chris Cresswell had to say below:
The mind is such a powerful thing – for better or for worse – and this song comes straight from the deep pit anxiety can dig with its help. When a moment’s hesitation can send one spiraling, when the smallest task can stand in the way, when you find it in a place you least expect it, like a souvenir stuffed deep in your drawer, you can let it wash over you or try your best to will it away. “Souvenir” is about finding your footing, even when the ground beneath you can only crumble.
New single from hardcore punks ‘Incisions’!
| ‘Mine To Lose’ owes as much to Rocket from the Crypt as it does Poison Idea and shows a more considered approach to their songwriting than the frantic 80’s infused hardcore offerings that Incisions are known for since forming 6 years ago. |
| Following the brutal nihilism of 2021’s ‘BLISS’ LP and recent single ‘Gasoline’, ‘Mine To Lose’ takes you on a journey from the depths of regret through the pain of losing yourself to your vices via a singalong chorus and relentless rhythm section. Whilst the opening lyric cries “it’s torture when I’m coming down” ‘Mine To Lose’ presents a confident band still moving in the right direction. |
Manchester birthed Incisions in 2015 and they’ve been honing the sound since. This is what being young, working class punk in the North of England sounds like. They’ve combined love, lust, liquor and rage, dragging 80s American hardcore through the streets of Manchester.
Incisions are now heading into 2022 with a fresh take on their now established sound and an infamous reputation for their rowdy gigs. Since releasing their debut LP through TNS at the end of 2018, Incisions have played alongside some of the biggest names in Punk (Poison Idea, D.O.A, Adolescents, Drug Church, D.I to name a few) with some well received festival appearances and sold out headline gigs along the way.
Having released their second LP ‘BLISS’ – a nihilistic and brutal assault – 2022 is set to be another busy year for the pride of Manchester. With Jordan now dropping the guitar/vocalist role everyone in the band is now able to focus on their respective duties. As a result, expect the latest incarnation of Incisions to be heavier, angrier, faster, sexier and much more lucrative for the already high-earning band than ever before.
