(review) Snuff – Crepuscolo Dorato (SBÄM Records)

Snuff are back with a new full length album and new material that has been two years in the making. I must admit that I sometimes had hot/cold relationship with this band through my history back in the days, sometimes liking their records, sometimes less liking, but this one is a keeper. Vocalist/drummer Duncan Redmonds sounds angry when the song needs it, also melodic and emotional at other times, but his voice is a unique sound that can be recognized every time without mistake. On this album Snuff mix their vision of melodic punk but also mod, some garage rock influences, also blues at times, like in cover song by Curtis Mayfield Hard Times with all organ and trombone what makes this bands stand apart and so unique from other bands in the scene. My personal favorites are Looks Alright From Here, being faster, more straightforward angry punk song, One Of Those Days which is my top song from the record with haunting melody and infectious vocal lines. There are also some metal influences in guitar work of instrumental Barba Gelata, somehow harshest sounding song on the record although there are no vocals on that one. Green Glass Chippings is also safe to mention as a highlight of this great record. But, you have to listen for yourselves and create an opinion. This is only mine. I love this one.

Punkrockers Mudfight released new single which announces new record with SBÄM Records!

“Baby! Hey! Won‘t you give me another chance?”
With these words and the first single, Mudfight start the journey towards the release of their debut album. On the one hand Baby! Hey! sets the tone you can expect on Time For Revolutio”, on the other hand it delivers an antidote against remorse and lovesickness – all in the form of an energetic punk anthem.

Thereby the up-and-coming artists tell a story from the perspective of a person who apologizes for their behavior in a romantic relationship and asks for a second chance. Whether this person deserves it, remains unanswered … but what’s for sure is: Mudfight have come to stir up the punk scene properly! While the video for Baby! Hey! was inspired by classics like Sex Pistols’ God Save The Queen or Green Day’s Father Of All, their aim is to get the younger generation more excited about punk again. For this purpose, the newcomer from Upper Austria have chosen a performance video to introduce themselves as a band and to show what they enjoy most: being on stage and giving everything!

The video was made in collaboration with Klaus Winkler (Loprosh.tv). Fun Fact: It was shot in a church!

Baby! Hey! will be out on April 26, 2022 and is the first single from the debut album Time For Revolution, which will be released on July 15, 2022 by SBÄM Records.

LIVING TARGET drop new video ‘Autopilot No Control’!

Punk Metal band Living Target proudly present their video for “Autopilot No Control”, track taken from their EP “Fire & Forget”, out via Wormholedeath.

According to Living Target, ‘Autopilot No Control’ is the perfect example of how to make a video with band members spread over three different countries and how to get a mad and moody super hero to join your band.

Living Target started out as an online recording project early 2021 made up of Norman Quetsch, Marco Bella and Mike Lacey. The band members are spread over three different countries and everyone has his own recording facilities. Norman in Germany plays guitars and bass. Marco in Italy plays the drums and is the sound- and mixing engineer. Mike is based in the US and is the vocalist. It’s hard to believe the band has never met in person. Within only few months they have created powerful and catchy songs, each member contributing with his own musical influence and style and the result is an original sound that makes the listener think these guys have been playing together for years.
