Finally, a hardcore punk show in our hometown, long time no see! There were quite a lot of people attending this show and the four bands bill promised lots of action and energy! First ones to grace the stage were FIFI I CVJETNO DRUŠTVO, young punkrock forces and next generation of our hometown being only 12 and 13 years old. These guys and girl play simple said punkrock and they played couple of shows already here and there. They delivered about half an hour of nice punkrock and people just loved it. Let’s give them all the support we can to leave the scene in good hands. Next ones were first guests from Austria, called LOVE EMBASSY from Vienna. This was their first time in Croatia and the singer just couldn’t hide his happiness with the crowd feedback and energy that the band gave and was given back. If I must describe their music it would be about 30 minutes of hardcore with some rock influences and nice melodies, a bit similar to Turnstile, at least for me. Good band and great set, just like it needs to be. VIOLET BLOOM from Graz, Austria were for me the best band of the evening. Such energy, such great fast hardcore punk with angry, yet melodic vocals, with occasional breakdowns and moshing parts. I loved every second of it, the singer has energy even some of her peers could not have, excellent band and excellent show. The time has come for premiere of new forces of our hometown hardcore MY OWN ENEMY. This was their first show and they delivered about 30 minutes of sometimes fast, sometimes breakdowns and moshing parts, vocalist Alen had a bit of stagefright, but that is normal for first gig, I mean, I have stagefright at every gig I played, from first to last. They did their own songs and also a cover of Hatebreed during which singer of Youth Against helped them with his guest vocals. I love you guys, just go ahead an carry proud the hardcore flag of our hometown. In all, great gig, great bands and tons of fun! Hardcore lives!
